What is the unique characteristic of casement windows?
Casement windows are the most common due to their versatility in design. A window can be attached to the frame by hinges at the side or top, allowing for different style and shape openers. It’s this versatility the explains their popularity.
What advantage does a casement window offer over a sliding window?
A casement window can be opened more fully letting in more air. Whereas, a double or triple panel sliding window even when in an open position blocks a part of the window slot. So, more air and light will enter through a regular casement window than a sliding window.
What is a fixed casement window?
A fixed casement window doesn’t open like any other regular window. It’s basically used to only allow light to enter a room, sometimes referred to as a picture window. The Homeowners always have access to the amazing view they’re framing without the need to open the window.
What is a French casement window?
A French casement window doesn’t have a mullion divide like other ordinary casement windows, opening like a French door does, with nothing in the middle obstructing view. This kind of window creates a large opening with unbroken views.
How long will it take to get my new windows installed?
You can have different styles of glass to make your windows more unique and better suited for you and your home. We offer clear glass along with decorative glass, obscure glass, low-e glass and toughened glass options;
Decorative glass is glass with a particular pattern or design e.g. Georgian bars where as obscure glass would be something like a frosted or satin pattern which is excellent for privacy. We also offer low-e glass which offers better thermal efficacy and toughened glass which can be up to 5 times stronger than regular.
What are your lead times after placing an order?
As all of your windows will be bespoke to your home they need to be manufactured from scratch. This means that lead time can vary depending on how many windows you require along with how many orders our factory is currently processing. However, typical lead time from survey to fitting is usually 6 – 8 weeks.
