All Smart Homes NI customers get access to the full range of manufacturers guarantees in accordance with British and European standards.

Windows – Standard Manufacturers Guarantee

(Liniar, Deceuninck, and Veka)

• Frame and Sash Guarantee: 10 years on uPVC profiles, covering warping, splitting, or discolouration from the installation date.

• Moving Parts: 1-year guarantee on defects in locks, hinges, and other window furniture.

• Handles: 1-year finish guarantee.

Composite / uPVC Doors – Standard Manufacturers Guarantee

(Renaissance, Palladio, and Apeer)

1. 12-Year Structural Guarantee
   Covers manufacturing defects, warping, discoloration, bubbling, or blistering.

2. Stainless-Steel Furniture (Composite Door Hardware)

   • 5-year anti-corrosion warranty on marine-grade 316 stainless steel (handles, knockers, numbers, letterboxes).

3. Movable Components / Hardware

   • 1-year guarantee on locks, hinges, end caps, and other door furniture.

4. Glass Units

   • 5-year guarantee on triple-glazed glass units.

Aluminium Windows – Standard Manufacturers Guarantee

(Stellar)

1. 10-Year Optical & Mechanical Performance Guarantee
   Covers optical appearance and mechanical performance of aluminium profiles (not glass or hardware).

2. 25-Year Paint Finish Guarantee
   Covers:

   • Peeling, powdering, or blistering

   • Corrosion (unless caused by bending/folding after painting)

   • Chalking, fading, or loss of sheen under Qualicoat standards

   • Filiform corrosion

3. Movable Components / Hardware

   • 1-year guarantee on locks, hinges, and other furniture.

Glass – Standard Industry Guarantee

• 5-year guarantee covering seal failure and moisture ingress within the glazed unit.

Workmanship – Standard Industry Guarantee

• 5-year guarantee covering:

  • Draughts, leakages, and water ingress

  • Misaligned windows/doors

  • Stiff opening due to installation issues

Windows, Doors & Glass – Acceptable Tolerances

• Small surface marks/scratches not visible from 2m under normal daylight (not direct sunlight).

• Minor weld lines or profile joins that don’t affect performance.

• Slight glass rippling due to toughening/lamination process (“roller waves” – common in safety glass).

(All tolerances as defined in BS or EN standards.)
